Guided Walking Heritage Tours: Newport's Chartist History
Join us for a fascinating guided walking tour through Newport's Chartist heritage, led by newly trained, White Badge accredited tourist guides. Starting at Belle Vue Park Tea Rooms, the tour will take you on a heritage trail, exploring key points and locations that tell the story of the Chartist movement in Newport. Over the course of 1.5 to 2 hours, you’ll learn about the rich history and heritage of the Chartists who fought for justice and change.
These tours are offered at a subsidised rate of just £5, thanks to Our Chartist Heritage National Lottery Heritage Fund and Newport City Council. The funds raised support the festival and the ongoing work of the charity.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear sensible footwear. Tours begin at Belle Vue Park and the meeting point is in the main entrance hall of the tea…
