About the Event

The R’t Hon Nick Thomas-Symonds FRHistS, MP for Torfaen, Shadow Minister Without Portfolio, in the Cabinet Office, is a barrister, academic and political biographer. Nick grew up in Torfaen and lives locally.

Nick has published several political biographies:

Nye: The Political Life of Aneurin Bevan (pub. I.B Taurus)

Attlee : A Life in Politics (pub. Bloomsbury Academic)

And

 Harold Wilson: The Winner (pub. W&N) , the subject of this evening's Talk

Please note, Nick's talk will also be live streamed via Zoom. Tickets include a zoom link which will be distributed closer to the event via email for those that cannot attend in person.

  • Around 7:15 PM at the Riverfront, Holly Carter starts with a warm-up set, so you can still catch the beginning of her performance.
  • Dafydd Iwan follows, ensuring you won't miss anything
  • And for those who want more, Dan's People are playing at the CAB later in the evening.
