About the Event

Bring your four-legged friend and join us for a walk with a difference. Tour guide Bethan James leads this relaxed stroll through Newport city centre, the streets at the heart of the 1839 Newport Rising, when thousands of Chartists marched on the town to demand the vote.

Along the way, Bethan will share the stories of the men and women who risked everything for democracy, and why their fight still matters today. Dogs of all shapes and sizes are welcome. Humans without dogs are welcome too.

We meet at the Newport Rising Hub at 10.30am on Sunday 1 November. Entry is pay what you want but booking is required to reserve your space.
