Screening of 'Rhondda Rebel'

‘Rhondda Rebel’ celebrates the remarkable lives of Newport’s Lady Rhondda - militant suffragette, pioneering international businesswoman, survivor of the sinking of the Lusitania, editor of the influential weekly magazine Time and Tide and lifelong campaigner for women’s rights. History at the Hub is delighted to welcome back director/co-producer Sian Roderick and Meic Birtwhistle co-producer to host a screening of their Fresh Catch Films documentary. Top tip - arrive early for the event, walk across John Frost Square towards the River, pausing to note the Six Points of the Charter engraved in the steps, walk across Millennium Bridge and admire the statue of Lady Rhondda on the far side.
